For several years, Nordbygg has presented a number of activities focusing on sustainability. What they all have in common is that they have a long-term focus.. They all have support in one of the three global environmental goals that we consider most relevant to our industry.
Goal 5 – Gender Equality

This is how we work for gender equality at Nordbygg
The construction industry is heavily male-dominated. In many subfields, recruiting and retaining female employees pose significant challenges. We have taken the initiative to promote gender equality and raise awareness through Nordbygg's program. For example, initiatives such as Stop the Macho Culture and Filter the Talk are highlighted.
We can observe that the proportion of female visitors to Nordbygg has grown over time and is higher than the industry average in construction. Nordbygg's successful Women's Networking Event, which gathers nearly 150 women in construction to inspire and strengthen networks, will return for Nordbygg 2024
Goal 7 – Affordable and clean energy
Renewable energy solutions are becoming cheaper, more reliable and more efficient every day.Our current reliance on fossil fuels is unsustainable and harmful to the planet, which is why we have to change the way we produce and consume energy. Implementing these new energy solut-ions as fast as possible is essential to counter climate change, one of the biggest threats to our own survival. (Soure: globalgoals.org)

Together with industry stakeholders, we place a strong focus on energy efficiency, renovation, and smart technology. We gather a range of experts and compile an extensive program to inspire sustainable energy solutions. For example, see the program at the Property Energy Arena in Hall A. In 2024, we are also launching a new theme area at Nordbygg – solar energy. An important piece of the puzzle in a sustainable energy system
Goal 11 – Sustainable cities and communities
