Increased rate of innovation with digital technology in the installation sector
Several exhibitors have loaded their stands with products and services that may contribute to the industry getting a real push into the digital era. Particularly the installation sector will be offered a lot of news.
Sweden is one of the most digitalised countries in the world. So far, though, this has not been the case for the Swedish construction and property sector. Here, the digital development has been much slower. This is about to change – drastically. More and more people are open to letting the digital technology in, and the interest in the possibilities is large in many of Nordbygg’s visitors. And they won’t be disappointed. Several exhibitors have loaded their showcases with products and services that may contribute to the industry getting a real push into the digital era.
Increased innovation rate
IoT, AI, Machine Learning and Blockchains are some of the concepts that visitors will encounter with many of the exhibitors and in the seminar program. This technology has increased the innovation rate in many areas. Several tangible applications for the construction and property sector will be presented. Among others in hot areas such as property automation and sustainable energy supply. Wireless demand-controlled ventilation supported by IoT is one example. Solar electricity is another, which more and more property owners want to invest in.
Large possibilities, but also challenges
The digital perspective also has its place in the seminar program. Several experts talk in an inspiring and tangible way of how new technology can enable new smart solutions. One of them is Farhad Basiri, software developer at Iquest, and adviser to property companies regarding digital development.
– I see great possibilities for property owners to offer new services by for example combining IoT with Machine Learning. But with digital technology comes challenges that need to be handled. For example when it comes to IT security, personal integrity and responsibility, says Farhad.
He will talk about this at a seminar at Nordbygg.
