FOCUS ON DESIGN – kitchen and bathroom trend scouting from the A hall

2023-10-16

Nordbygg is so much more than a fair for construction technology. It’s a place for inspiration and design trends, a brilliant opportunity to stay on top of what we can expect to see in buildings during the second half of the 2020’s.

This time, we let Tapwell trend scout regarding what is coming in design when it comes to accessories, taps, overhead showers, kitchen sinks and washbasin fittings.

Tapwell is one of the exhibitors in the A hall, the part of Nordbygg where you can meet exhibitors in HVAC, cooling, heating, ventilation, property automation and solar energy. As a company with design as a high priority, we let their Marketing Manager, Niklas Nordblom, already now offer  trend scouting within their product segment.

–  We design, develop products and produce quality products with Scandinavian aesthetics and focus on design. We see that the trend is moving towards a continued base palette of natural colours, with warm, earthy and neutral tones, he says.

As with the rest of the construction and property sector, the increased awareness of sustainability is also reflected in design.

– We see how many have become less influenced by seasonal trends and make more timeless and long-term sustainable design choices. Customers are drawn to a soft and clean aesthetic that gives a harmonious overall feeling. That is why we place great importance on a range that makes it easy to create a common thread and where focus is on craftsmanship, Scandinavian simplicity and natural materials with a strong identity, Niklas Nordblom explains.
