Foreign companies eager to engage with the Nordic market

2023-09-13

It's not just the joint national stands in Hall C that are growing in number. The increasing international presence at Nordbygg is evident through new events and more international exhibitors over all.

Nordbygg is expanding as a platform for international players, and the interest in the 2024 fair is substantial.

– It's really great to see how a new audience is finding its way to us. The Nordic construction industry has a lot to gain from meeting and getting inspired by external actors, says Lina Hann, project manager for Nordbygg.

Among the new events is RoomVent, the international conference featuring prominent researchers and industry experts in ventilation and indoor climate.

– In addition to the increasing number of non-Nordic exhibitors, RoomVent will make its mark over three days. It's an exciting event with representatives from different parts of the world, being held under Nordbygg for the first time, Hann explains.

To further promote international collaborations and business opportunities, Nordbygg, in partnership with Invest Stockholm, will organize an international program whose contents will be announced after the turn of the year.

New Approaches at the Fair Attract Attention
One of the exhibitors making their debut at the fair is the German company CAD-PLAN, which sells software for window and facade planning based on Autodesk products, including Athena and Apollon 2D and 3D modeling software for metal construction and facade technology.

– The opportunity to actually meet the entire industry face-to-face instead of just having significantly less personal online meetings is appealing, says Jan Henning Wagner, Sales and Marketing Manager at CAD-PLAN.

He was particularly drawn to the Glass Industry Association and Nordbygg's new initiative to strengthen the presence of glass at the 2024 fair.

– We had a very positive impression when we visited the last Nordbygg. We see the opportunity to build our brand presence in the Scandinavian market. Now that the fair has chosen to create a dedicated joint booth for glass, the decision to be present feels obvious, he concludes.
