- When selecting a washing machine, look for a high environmental class and resource-saving functions such as auto-dosage and effective cleansing at low temperatures
- Go for washing machines with steam, that quickly freshens up clothes with just a
fraction of the water usage and minimises the need for an iron
- Choose a tumble dryer with heat pump technology, these use less energy than traditional tumble dryers
- Go for ovens that use steam for cooking, they use less energy both at cooking and cleaning
- Choose energy-efficient fridges, if possible made of recycled materials
- Choose dishwashers with functions that facilitate choosing efficient cleansing and automatic door-openers for energy-saving drying
- Or find those that have temperature control to be able to do everything from simmering to sous vide with just as much energy as it takes for a perfect result
- Look for induction cookers with a sensor that makes it easier to keep the right temperature, so that the user doesn’t burn something or makes something boil over, this also saves energy.
